Leeds have completed the signing of Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson on loan – and the club’s supporters are pleased about the deal.
The Whites confirmed on Monday that the 20-year-old has moved to Elland Road on a season-long loan.
He does not feature in Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans for the new season and has left Old Trafford in search of game time.
Thomas Christiansen has been on the search for a new left-back and has finally landed one in the shape of Borthwick-Jackson.
Academy graduate Charlie Taylor left the Yorkshire giants this summer and that left versatile defender Gaetano Berardi as the only senior left-back in the squad.
Berardi was also forced off injured in the opening day 3-2 win over Bolton, meaning Borthwick-Jackson’s arrival could not come at a better time.
Leeds fans are delighted about the arrival of Borthwick-Jackson and feel he can be a major success.

Borthwick-Jackson is a highly-rated talent at old Trafford and has made 14 senior appearances for United.
The pacy left-back was loaned out to Wolves lsat season, where he played seven times, and will now be looking to make an impact at Leeds.
He could cement a position in the starting XI at left-back if he impresses and allow Berardi to revert to his more comfortable right-back position.
Borthwick-Jackson was unable to hit the expected heights during his loan spell last season with Wolves, but has now linked up with a Leeds side that are aiming for promotion.
The Englishman showed in glimpses his qualities in the United team and Leeds will be hoping he can recapture his top form.
