How Leeds should line up against Preston

|

Goalkeepers and defenders

Felix Wiedwald (Goalkeeper) – German goalkeeper Wiedwald is expected to retain his place between the sticks despite failing to keep a clean sheet so far, with Rob Green set to remain sidelined with a knee injury.

Luke Ayling (Right-back) – The former Bristol City right-back captained the side against Port Vale during the week and will be one of the first name on the team sheet after starring against Bolton on Sunday.

Pontus Jansson (Centre-back) – Jansson is set to make his first appearance of the season, coming in for Conor Shaughnessy, after the Sweden international has finished his three-match suspension that saw him miss Leeds’ opening two matches.

Liam Cooper (Centre-back) – The commanding defender retains his place at the back due to the injury of Everton loanee Matthew Pennington, and is likely to continue wearing the armband after signing a new four-year deal in the week in place of Vurnon Anita.

Cameron Borthwick Jackson (Left-back) – Signed on loan from Manchester United, Borthwick-Jackson will move across to his more natural position of left-back after making his Leeds debut at centre-back against the Vale.
