Newcastle should prioritise Niasse signing

Newcastle are believed to be interested in signing Everton forward Oumar Niasse and they should pull out all the stops to get him.

The Sun claim that the Magpies are chasing the 27-year-old, but face serious competition from Brighton and Burnley for his signature.

Niasse has been told that he has no future at Goodison Park and needs a move to reignite his stuttering career.

Newcastle should make an offer for the Senegal international and St James’ Park could be the perfect platform for him.

The striker was unable to make a name for himself at Everton, but showed during a loan spell last season with Hull that he can make a major impact in the Premier League.

Rafael Benitez must be targeting a new forward to bolster his frontline and compete for a starting position alongside Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Niasse managed to perform in a struggling Hull side and show that he has the power to lead the line effectively.

The pacy attacker made 19 appearances for the Tigers and managed to score five goals in return.

His prolific spell at Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow also suggests that he knows how to find the back of the net, firing 19 times for them in 42 appearances.

Niasse is now entering the peak of his career and has great potential to score goals if he can find a permanent home, something that Newcastle should certainly look to give him.
