Leeds should seriously consider moving for Wolves defender Danny Batth as clubs circle for his signature.

The Mail claim that Hull City, Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa are all interested in signing the 26-year-old this summer.

They are waiting to see the future of the 26-year-old as Wolves have considerably strengthened their defensive options and he was left out of the starting XI in Saturday’s friendly win against Leicester.

Batth is currently the Wolves captain and is highly rated in the Championship, having made 134 appearances in the division.

Leeds should definitely try to hijack a potential move for the Englishman and take him to Elland Road on a permanent basis.

The Whites are currently in need of another centre-back before the transfer window closes to provide competition alongside Pontus Jansson, Matthew Pennington and Liam Cooper.

Thomas Christiansen needs a new defensive player and ideally someone who knows the division would give the squad a big boost.

Batth is a product of the Wolves academy and has become a crucial player at senior level since making his senior breakthrough.

The defender is recognised for his leadership qualities and tough tackling, something that would help him become a firm favourite if he ended up at Leeds.

His position at Molineux is unclear due to the mass spending of Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo and there would be a long list of suitors if he was made available.

However, Leeds are hopeful of competing for promotion in the new campaign and there need for a centre-back should mean they move for Batth.
