West Ham are ready to make an eight-figure move for Burnley forward Andre Gray, according to the Mirror.
The news outlet details that the Hammers are looking to strike a deal worth £15million for the 26-year-old after having a similar bid turned down in January.
The Englishman has entered the final year of his contract at the Lancashire-based club and it is said that Gray is involved in a stand off with Sean Dyche’s team as he is wanting a big increase in wages.
The striker joined Burnley in the summer of 2015 from London-based club Brentford in a costly £6million deal.
He has since helped the Clarets win promotion to the Premier League and then achieve survival with a fine 33 goals in 78 matches in total.
Last season alone he managed a return of nine goals in 32 Premier League matches and it is reported that he feels his contribution warrants a bigger wage deal.
Meanwhile, West Ham are in the market for a striker this summer and have already been linked with a number of forwards in recent weeks with usual wide player Michail Antonio finishing as the club’s top scorer in the last campaign with just nine goals in all competitions.
