Norwich midfielder Graham Dorrans is closing in on a seven-figure move to Rangers following “protracted” negotiations between the two clubs, according to the Daily Mail.

The news outlet have detailed on their transfer blog (Saturday, 12.26pm) that the Ibrox giants are nearing an agreement worth £1.5million plus add-ons for the the 30-year-old Scotland international.

The Gers have been heavily linked with the Canaries midfielder this summer and earlier in the week local news outlet The Pink Un reported that the English Championship club had dismissed a “derisory” offer worth less than £500,000 for Dorrans.

But, it would now seem as though Pedro Caixinha’s team have vastly improved their offer and that Dorrans himself has set his sights on a move to Rangers due to his support for the club.

The Glasgow-born man has been playing outside of Scotland since 2008 after leaving Livingston for West Brom nine years a go for just £200,000.

He has since went on to have a fine career in England, which has even seen him feature 142 time in the Premier League.

Last season alone he played 24 times in all competitions, scoring six goals, while also providing one and with two years left on his contract at Norwich he is now looking to move back to Scotland.
