Young Leeds goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell’s loan move to Oldham is dead in the water after spending last week training with the League One club, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The 20-year-old was set for a temporary transfer away from Elland Road after agreeing a new three-year deal with the Yorkshire giants keen for him to gain more first team experience.

This saw him join Oldham for their four-day training camp at the University of Bath with manager John Sheridan giving him a short trial to see his qualities before taking him on a season-long loan deal.

However, the move has since turned sour and Peacock-Farrell is now said to be looking at another move.

The youngster is also said to have now returned to Elland Road with the rest of the first team squad, including goalkeeper trio Rob Green, Felix Wiedwald and Marco Silvestri on the pre-season tour of Austria.

Peacock-Farrell has made just one senior appearance for Leeds, which came all the way back in May 2016 where he started a 1-1 draw against QPR, playing the full 90 minutes.

He will now be seeking further first team opportunities at this stage of his career, but a move to Oldham, who helped with the development of striker Lee Erwin last season is off for now.
