Nottingham Forest have submitted a £1million bid for Luton Town youngster James Justin, according to the Sun.

The newspaper claims that Forest manager Mark Warburton was impressed with the 18-year-old’s performances in League Two last season and the club believe that the defender is capable of immediately competing in the second tier of English football next season.

The report claims that several other Championship sides have also been put on alert after the full-back was called up to the England Under-19 national team last season.

The teenager is not the only defender being linked with a move to the City Ground this summer as reliable journalist Alan Nixon recently posted on his personal Twitter account that Forest are also interested in Chelsea centre-back Michael Hector.

Justin has spent his entire footballing career at Luton and he managed to break into the first-team last season where he became an essential part of the first-team.

The defender made a total of 39 appearances in all competitions last season and he helped Luton reach the League Two playoffs.

The teenager provided four assists and his only goal of the campaign came in the 3-2 victory away at Swindon Town in the EFL Trophy in August.

Justin’s current contract at Kenilworth Road runs out in 2019.
