West Ham are willing to use record signing Andre Ayew in a swap deal to secure the signing of West Brom’s Nacer Chadli, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper claim on their website that the Hammers are keen on signing 27-year-old Belgian Chadli and view their Ghanaian winger, who arrived at the club in a £20.5million move last summer, as the perfect makeweight.

The pair both play on the left wing, and with Ayew said to be unsettled at the London Stadium, and Chadli reported by the Telegraph to have been left out of the Baggies pre-season tour after a row with boss Tony Pulis, it seems a swap move could be on the cards.

Like Ayew, Chadli is also a record breaker, having become West Brom’s most expensive signing a year ago after they brought him in from fellow top flight side Tottenham for a reported £13million.

The 36-cap Belgian midfielder ended up making 32 appearances across all competitions for the club last season, scoring five goals and providing five assists.

His figures were not dissimilar to those of fellow 27-year-old Ayew, who hit six goals and picked up three assists in his 26 appearances during his debut season for the Hammers.

He is contracted to the club until 2019, while his West Brom counterpart is tied down at the Hawthorns until 2020.
