Leeds United midfielder Luke Murphy has re-joined Burton Albion – and fans have taken to Twitter to express mixed verdicts on his second loan spell
Championship outfit Burton revealed on their official website and Twitter account on Monday afternoon that Murphy, 27, has signed on loan for the 2017-18 season.
It is the second spell at the Brewers for the midfield enforcer after he spent the second half of last season on a loan that began in the January transfer window.

Leeds fans have differing views on Murphy’s exit for the coming campaign, with some claiming they were surprised new manager Thomas Christiansen did not give him a chance to impress, while others said he is not quite of the calibre required for a team chasing promotion.

Good move for murphy. If he does as well as he did last season he’ll have plenty of clubs to pick from come the end of the season. #lufc

I think it’s fair to say with Luke Murphy again going out on loan we will never see him play for Leeds again. He had good and bad times #lufc

I liked Murphy but there is a reason only Burton wanted him, we have 5 Cms ahead of him, I’d have rather Dave went tho so hope he does #lufc https://t.co/Kax0Cjh2HN

Simple, Why can’t we sell Murphy? No body will buy him. Why can’t we give him away? Nobody will pay most of his wages #lufc

Murphy has two years remaining on his Leeds contract after joining from Crewe in 2013 on a deal that was extended in 2015.
He has made 111 appearances for the Yorkshire giants but was frozen out by Garry Monk last season before his winter window switch to Burton, where he was immediately installed as a first-team regular by manager Nigel Clough.
Murphy made 20 appearances in the second half of last season, including 18 league starts.
