Galloway was brought to Everton in the summer of 2014 for an undisclosed fee from League One club MK Dons.
He has totalled 21 appearances for the Toffees’ senior team since joining, while he also spent the last campaign on loan at Premier League club West Brom.
However, he managed just five appearances for Tony Pulis’ side last season and the youngster with three years remaining on his contract at Goodison Park will now be hoping for more first team football with Sunderland.
