West Ham have agreed a deal with Mexican side Tigres to secure the departure of 27-year-old striker Enner Valencia, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper claim on their website that the two clubs have agreed an undisclosed fee which will see the Ecuadorian international return to Mexico after he arrived in England from Pachuca in a deal worth £12million in 2014.

Bought by the Hammers after an impressive World Cup campaign in Brazil, which saw him score three goals in as many games, he failed to replicate his international form in the Premier League, hitting just five goals and providing four assists in 37 games across all competitions in his debut season.

His second season saw him return the same figures in 28 games, before he was shipped off on loan to fellow Premier League side Everton for almost the entirety of the 2016/17 season.

In 21 appearances for the Toffees, he scored just three goals and contributed two assists, which saw them choose not to turn his loan move into a permanent deal, and saw West Ham lose faith in their multi-million pound signing.

They would have been hoping that he could rediscover the form he did for his country, which has seen him score at a rate of a goal in just under every two games, with 20 strikes in 38 appearances.
