Celtic started their 2017-18 campaign in good fashion with a 2-0 victory over Linfield in the Champions League second-round first-leg at Windsor Park on Friday evening.

The Glasgow giants have been called into an early start due to European commitments and Brendan Rodgers will have been proud of the way his treble winning side started.

The Northern Irishman stayed loyal to the 11 players who helped his side go the entirety of the domestic campaign last season unbeaten with summer signing Jonny Hayes the only new recruit included in the match squad before the match.

It proved to be a good decision by the senior man too as Celtic took a two goal lead in the first half with efforts from both Scott Sinclair and Tom Rogic.

The Hoops will have been delighted with their win and they will now face Linfield for the second-leg swiftly after on Wednesday at Parkhead where they will be hoping for a similar result.

Here, This is Futbol rates the 11 Celtic players named in the starting line up out of 10, including a particularly underwhelming display from once senior player.
