Lacking a player like Wilshere
Last season, the Hammers boasted four central midfielders of captain Mark Noble, Cheikhou Kouyate, Pedro Obiang and Havard Nordtveit.
Noble managed five strikes, but four of those were penalties in all competitions, while the remaining three managed to conjure cup a combined give goals.
Bringing a player like Wilshere to the middle of the West Ham midfield would give Bilic’s side a player who is able to create and score goals from deep, something that is obviously lacking from the Hammers’ side at the moment.
