West Ham United will need to offer Barcelona at least another £3.5million to sign £12.5million-valued forward Munir, according to Don Balon.

This follows up from the story in the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo which reported that the Hammers have shown an interest in the 21-year-old this summer.

Don Balon report that the East London club are ready to spend between £7million and £9million in order to secure the signature of the Spaniard but the La Liga side have slapped a £12.5million price tag on him.

It is said that West Ham are not the only Premier League side keen to land the forward with Southampton and Crystal Palace also in the hunt to sign him this summer.

Bundesliga outfit Schalke are also interested in Munir but Barcelona have not received an offer which they find acceptable to offload the Spaniard.

With the attacking talent of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, the youngster has been unable to hold down a regular place in the Barcelona starting lineup since breaking into the first-team three years ago.

Munir was sent out on loan to fellow La Liga side Valencia last season and he demonstrated that he was capable of delivering the goods as he scored against his parent club on two separate occasions in the league.

The Spaniard featured in 39 matches in all competitions last season and he managed to contribute with eight goals and three assists.

The forward currently has two years remaining on his contract at the Camp Nou.
