Tottenham are willing to offload Kyle Walker after he fell out with manager Mauricio Pochettino, according to the Evening Standard.

The newspaper claim that Walker antagonised strict disciplinarian Pochettino with his conduct at the back end of last season and this is key to the club’s transfer stance.

The Standard report that the right-back’s situation is different to that of Eric Dier’s, who has attracted intense interest from Manchester United and is interested in a move to his boyhood club.

Spurs are unwilling to let the England international leave as they aim to build upon their hugely impressive 2016-17 campaign but view Walker as far more expendable.

It is said that the England right-back is most likely to end the summer transfer window at Manchester City if the two clubs can agree a price.

The 27-year-old crossed swords with Pochettino at the back end of last season and he lost his his regular Spurs starting place as speculation intensified about his future and his form dipped.

Walker, who moved to White Hart Lane from boyhood club Sheffield United in 2009, was replaced in the starting line-up by Kieran Trippier, who grabbed his opportunity and made the step up as a more regular starter.

The Standard report that Pochettino has faith that the former Burnley player can be the first choice next season either at right-back or in a more advanced wing-back role.

Nevertheless, Walker was named by his peers in the PFA Premier League team of the season and is widely regarded as one of Europe’s outstanding players on the right side of defence.
