Tottenham fans have issued their support for striker Vincent Janssen to have a successful second season at the club after he shared a Tweet of himself starting pre-season back up with Spurs.

The 23-year-old Holland international completed a move to north London last summer for a costly £17million after showing his scoring talents with AZ Alkmaar in his home nation.

But, he has so far struggled to impress in Maurico Pochettino’s team with a return of just two Premier League goals in 27 league appearances in his debut campaign.

However, that hasn’t seemed to deter him and on Tuesday the forward shared an image on his personal Twitter account alongside Jan Vertonghen stating “back in business” as he appeared to be in an optimistic mood about the coming season.

Tottenham fans on social media have also maintained their own support for the striker despite his woes in front of goal and many continued on Tuesday.

A number asked the forward not to leave the club, while another told the Dutchman to “prove the haters wrong.”

The Tottenham team are currently starting up their pre-season where they will attempt to make another claim for the Premier League title while playing their home matches at Wembley.

Janssen will be wanting to play a more pivotal role in the team next season and while he is unlikely to dethrone star Harry Kane he will be looking to prove himself as a suitable second choice.
