The Ivory Coast international starred in a side that finished in a disappointing 13th place, and could be looking for an instant climb to the Premier League rather than chancing his arm with Villa again.
Although yet to be tried in the Premier League, Kodjia’s instinctive nature in an opposition’s penalty area would see him score against the world’s best and that would see him shine on Tyneside.
