Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to congratulate Sergio Romero on his new five-year deal.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper’s new contract is made up of a four-year term and includes the option to extend for a further year until 2022.
The Red Devils announced the news on their official website and on their official Twitter account on Sunday night.

The Argentina number one, who has accumulated 87 international caps, arrived at Old Trafford in the summer of 2015 on a free transfer from Sampdoria, and he has since made 28 appearances across all competitions for the club, keeping 18 clean sheets.
He was served mainly as David De Gea’s understudy last term, but he still managed to play 18 league and cup games, 12 of which came in the Europa League.
Romero was a key figure in United’s Europa League winning campaign, as he kept eight clean sheets and featured in all nine of the knock-out matches.
The Old Trafford faithful were ecstatic to see Romero rewarded for his efforts with a new deal and they took to Twitter to show it.

Incredibly, United did not suffer a single defeat in the 18 matches Romero featured in last season, and they managed to come out on top in 14 of them.
The 30-year-old has been capped by Argentina on 87 occasions, and he played the full 90 minutes as his nation beat Brazil 1-0 in an international friendly in June of this year.
