Manchester City’s newest recruit Kyle Walker has joined Pep Guardiola’s squad on the club’s pre-season tour of the United States ahead of his potential debut this week.

The 27-year-old moved to the Premier League giants from the north London club last week for a record-breaking £50million, and has already started to integrate within the City squad.

New team mate Kevin De Bruyne tweeted a picture on his official Twitter account of Walker alongside John Stones in his City training kit on the plane before the team set off to America.

Manchester City are heading to the United States in order to take part in the International Champions Cup, where they will play three matches against rivals Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Walker’s former club Tottenham.

The right-back looks likely to make his debut run out with the City squad against United on Thursday, which will give boss Guardiola a chance to see the England international in action with his new team mates.

Walker will also join new goalkeeper Ederson as well as Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, David Silva and captain Vincent Kompany on the pre-season tour.

Samir Nasri also rejoined the City team ahead of their trip to America after he spent a season on-loan at Sevilla.

Among those missing from the squad was keeper Claudio Bravo, who was given permission to rest after taking part in the Confederations Cup with Chile, and he will make a late return to training at the end of the month.

Fellow goalkeeper Joe Hart was also absent from Pep Guardiola’s side as a BBC report has revealed that the 30-year-old is set to take part in a medical at West Ham on Monday before a season-long loan.
