Everton manager Ronald Koeman should forget making a £30million bid for Arsenal ace Theo Walcott and look elsewhere in the market for wide options.

The Mirror claimed on Saturday night that the Toffees were weighing up a £30million bid for the 28-year-old forward.

It was said Koeman wants to bolster his wide options after it has emerged that Yannick Bolasie will miss the start of next season through injury.

The report stated that the Toffees were interested in Walcott, but they are also eyeing a potential move for Leicester City’s Demarai Gray.

The Merseysiders have been among the most active clubs in this summer’s transfer window, and they have shelled out for six major signings so far.

However, one area Koeman is yet to strengthen is his wingers, so there may well be at least £30million put aside for a big-money move for a wide man.
