Hutchison hopes Sigurdsson joins Everton next

Former midfielder Don Hutchison has stated that he hopes Swansea star Gylfi Sigurdsson is the next player to make the move to Everton this summer.

The Toffees have been extremely busy so far this summer, bringing in as many as six players as they prepare for the Europa League in the next campaign.

The world renowned Wayne Rooney was the most recent to join on Sunday in a deal from Manchester United which saw him return to Merseyside after leaving 13 years a go.

Now, Hutchison posted on his personal Twitter acount on Monday morning that he was impressed with the club’s business so far  and that he was now hoping Sigurdsson would be the next through the Goodison Park doors.

Sigurdsson has been heavily linked with a move to Everton this summer and the Mirror reported on Sunday that the Toffees had agreed a deal worth £30million for the 27-year-old attacking midfielder with the club now preparing to offer a £135,000-a-week contract.

He would become the fifth attacker to make the move to the club this summer after Rooney, Sandro Ramirez, Henry Onyekuru and Davy Klaassen following manager Ronald Koeman explaining that he wanted more creativity added to his side bfore the window started.

The Iceland international would also join off the back of an excellent Premier League season, which saw him return nine goals and 13 assists in 38 top-flight matches.
