Everton need defensive cover at the heart of their defence and bringing Steven Caulker to Goodison Park would ease Ronald Koeman’s concerns.
West London Sport claim the 25-year-old is looking likely to join Scottish champions Celtic this summer, which would see the commanding centre-back form a reunion with Brendan Rodgers after working together at Swansea.
Caulker’s career has fallen by the wayside somewhat in recent season, making just 14 appearances for current side QPR last season as Ian Holloway’s side narrowly escaped the relegation zone by two points.
A one-time England international, Caulker will be looking to get his career back on track at the highest level possible and Celtic seem to be stealing a march on the defender.
However, This Is Futbol believes Everton would significantly bolster their chances of finishing in the top six of the Premier League if they decided to add depth to their defence with the signing of Caulker.
