Everton fans have taken to Twitter to call for their club to sign Leicester City ace Riyad Mahrez.
The Goodison Park faithful’s messages came after the Daily Mail reported on Saturday that the Toffees had shown an interest in signing the 26-year-old attacker this summer.
It was said that Chelsea and Arsenal are also in the race for Mahrez’s signature, but Serie A giants Roma are currently in pole position as they have made contact with the Foxes over a potential deal.
However, the report states Leicester value the Algerian international at around £40million – a price the Italian side are unwilling to meet at the moment.
Mahrez was one of the Foxes’ key players last season, scoring 10 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions, as well as providing seven assists.
He arrived at the King Power Stadium in January 2014 from Le Havre, and he has since played 138 league and cup games for the club, which have yielded 35 goals and 25 assists.
The Toffees supporters were excited by the report which linked their club with a move for Mahrez and they took to Twitter to show it.

Mahrez saved his best performances of the 2016-17 campaign for the Champions League, which saw him net four goals in nine appearances, so he may be keen on a move away from Leicester this summer to give him the opportunity to impress in Europe again next term.
He has been capped by Algeria on 32 occasions and has bagged eight goals on the international stage.
