Sandro Ramirez has completed a transfer to Everton after the club triggered his release clause, it has been announced.

The 21-year-old Spanish forward has joined from La Liga side Malaga and he has signed a four-year deal at Goodison Park.

The Merseyside club confirmed the news on their official website and on their official Twitter account on Monday afternoon.

The Spaniard has become the fifth summer signing for the Toffees with Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen, Nathangelo Markelo and Henry Onyekuru all completing moves to the club.

It will be a new experience for the forward as he has never played football in England throughout his young career.

Sandro was part of the youth set-up in Barcelona and he managed to break into the first-team at the start of the 2014-15 season.

The Spaniard made a total of 32 appearances and scored seven goals during his spell in Catalonia.

The forward joined fellow La Liga side Malaga last season and he produced some outstanding displays, finishing the season as the club’s top goalscorer with 16 strikes to his name.

Sandro was also part of the Spain Under-21 national team who reached the final in the European Championships in Poland this summer.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman will be hopeful that the forward can provide the goals that can help the Toffees mount a serious challenge for the Champions League places next season.
