Kodjia and Hogan need better ammunition
Last season, Villa managed a minuscule 47 goals in 46 games and have Ivory Coast international Jonathan Kodjia to thank for saving their blushes in the final third.
He scored 19 of those goals despite missing around a month of football to represent his country at the African Cup of Nations, which saw the Midlands outfit steer clear of a relegation dog fight.
Now, Villa need to provide both Kodjia and January signing Scott Hogan with the kind of deliveries and assists that the duo have become renowned for finishing in the Championaship.
