Chelsea ace Loic Remy will leave the club this summer, according to Sky Sports News.

The broadcaster posted a message on its official Twitter account making the claim on Sunday afternoon.

This comes after the Sun reported last month that Blues manager Antonio Conte was ready to offload the 30-year-old striker this summer for a cut-price fee.

It was said Remy still has one year on his £80,000-a-week contract, but the Italian boss had no interest in keeping him at the club.

The Sun claimed Ligue 1 outfit Marseille were interested in signing the powerful striker, but he would need to take a significant wage cut for a deal to take place.

The 30-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge from QPR in a £11.2million switch in the summer of 2014, but he has failed to make much of an impact at the club.

In his three seasons with the Blues he has made just 47 appearances in all competitions, which have yielded only 12 goals.

Remy was even farmed out on loan to Crystal Palace last season, but he disappointed there too, and did not find the net in eight league and cup games.

The former Newcastle, QPR, Marseille, Nice and Lyon forward has been capped by France on 31 occasions, but he has not featured for his nation since 2014.
