That kind of extensive experience in Europe’s elite competition would prove vital to a Celtic side that will be desperate to remain in the competition after Christmas.
Celtic struggled in a group that contained Man City, Barcelona and Gladbach last season, but signing Reina would see the Hoops become better equipped in their knowledge of the opposition as they look to secure a place in the last 16 of Europe’s best.
