Leeds United are working on three different transfers as they continue their radical squad overhaul, according to a reliable journalist.

Yorkshire Evening Post correspondent Phil Hay revealed on his personal Twitter account on Monday that the Championship big hitters are working feverishly behind the scenes to tweak the team ahead of the new season.

He reported they are close to signing Huesca playmaker Samuel Saiz, with the player due in Leeds today (Monday) to put the finishing touches to a deal reportedly worth £3million.

Goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell is set to temporarily head out of Elland Road and complete a loan move to Oldham after agreeing the terms of a three-year Leeds contract on Sunday.

Both those transfers are all but done and Hay also reported that United are working on a deal to sign Lugano winger Ezgjan Alioski.

Leeds have signed six new players this summer, including converting the loans of Hadi Sacko and Pontus Jansson into permanent transfers.

They have also recruited Felix Wiedwald, Mateusz Klich, Madger Gomes and their headline summer capture to date, Vurnon Anita.

Saiz and Alioski have been targeted to bring greater attacking strength to the team, who were overly reliant upon the goals of Championship top scorer Chris Wood last season.

Spaniard Saiz and Macedonia international Alioski both had outstanding campaigns for their clubs in 2016-17, creating and scoring lots of goals.
