Rio Ave playmaker Filip Krovinovic and Benfica winger Diogo Goncalves will not be moving to Wolves this summer, according to a reliable journalist.

Portuguese website O Jojo claimed Wolves were interested in 21-year-old attacking midfielder Krovinovic along with European sides Lille and Benfica.

Newspaper Record also claimed that Wolves are keen on signing Benfica ace Goncalves, despite failing to make a single senior appearances for the Portuguese giants.

However, Express & Star reporter Tim Spiers revealed on his personal Twitter account that any move for Krovinovic would fail as he is unable to obtain a work permit, while Wolves have no interest in Goncalves.

The Championship outfit are expected to be in the market for multiple new signings this summer following the appointment of former Valencia and Porto manager Nuno Espirito Santo, who replaced Paul Lambert last month

Rio Ave’s number 10, Kravinovic had a hand in eight goals for Rio Ave during his 26 Liga NOS appearances, but is set to remain with the top-tier side as Wolves are unable to purchase the midfielder.

However, the four-time Croatia Under-21 international will not move to Molineux this summer, while Goncalves is also set to miss out on a move to the Championship outfit.

A 12-time Portugal Under-20 international, Goncalves scored 10 goals and added another 10 assists during his 40 appearances for Benfica’s second string including two goals in the UEFA Youth League.

Wolves are yet to complete their first signing this summer but the Express & Star claim they are closing in on the signing of Kravinovic’s Rio Ave teammate Roderick Miranda.
