Leeds United have yet to receive any bids for star goalscorer Chris Wood this summer, according to HITC Sport.

The news outlet claim that Premier League new boys Huddersfield are not interested in the striker, and that Leeds have had “no contact” from any other club regarding a potential transfer.

The Sun had earlier reported that Huddersfield were leading a seven-club chase for the signature of the £15million-rated goalscorer, who took the Championship by storm during the 2016-17 season.

Crystal Palace, Stoke City, West Ham, Swansea, West Brom and Southampton are also said to be keen on a deal for the New Zealand international, who has two years remaining on his current deal.

Wood scored an impressive 27 goals from 44 league appearances for Leeds last season, as they narrowly missed out on a place in the play-off semi-finals.

But their failure to earn promotion to the Premier League ahead of the upcoming campaign has cast doubt into the minds of many figures associated with the club that Leeds could struggle to keep him at Elland Road.

Their efforts have proven successful so far, following the latest claim from HITC that no contact has yet been made with Leeds over a summer deal for the 25-year-old.

Several Championship clubs are also believed to be showing an interest as Leeds continue to brace themselves for offers.
