Manchester City and England goalkeeper Joe Hart is interested in making a move to West Ham this summer, according to The Telegraph.

The newspaper reports on their website that the Hammers are looking to secure a season-long loan deal for the 71-time-capped England international, although state that the East London club could face competition from Manchester United.

They say that Jose Mourinho may look to make a move for the 30-year-old if his current number one David De Gea departs Old Trafford this summer, although it remains to be seen whether City would be interested in doing a deal with their local rivals.

However, despite United’s interest, Hart is said to want a move to West Ham, having spent the last season on loan to Torino after falling out of favour with City boss Pep Guardiola.

West Ham currently have Spanish goalkeeper Adrian and Republic of Ireland stopper Darren Randolph as their senior options in between the sticks, but it appears that boss Slaven Bilic is looking to bring in some fresh competition.

The Hammers are reluctant to make a permanent move for Hart at the moment, with his wages and Manchester City’s asking price both pricing the London club out of securing him long term at present.

However, it appears that both clubs are willing to organise a loan move for the Shrewsbury-born goalkeeper, with the Sun reporting that they could arrange a loan-to-buy deal, with a potential fee of £18million set to be paid next summer.
