Three English clubs are interested in signing Rangers midfielder Josh Windass this summer, according to the Scottish Sun.

The newspaper reports that League One sides Fleetwood Town, MK Dons and Peterborough United are all keen on the 23-year-old.

The report claims that Windass is just one of many fringe players set to depart Rangers this summer as manager Pedro Caixinha is looking to improve the squad with a number of signings.

Rangers have been very busy in the summer transfer market as they have already signed Ryan Jack, Bruno Alves, Fabio Cardoso, and Dalcio.

The midfielder only joined the SPL side at the beginning of the 2016-17 campaign on a free transfer from League Two side Accrington Stanley.

Windass struggled to make much of an impact in his first season in Scottish football as he only made a total of 27 appearances in all competitions.

The Englishman did provide five assists in the league but he only managed to score one goal last season which came in the Scottish League Cup tie against East Sterling where Rangers came away with a 3-0 victory.

The League One sides will not be able to sign the midfielder for a cheap price as his current contract at Rangers expires in the summer of 2020.
