West Ham submit £8.8million bid for Ndiaye

West Ham have submitted an £8.8million (€10million) bid for Turkish side Osmanlispor’s attacking midfielder Badou Ndiaye, according to Haberturk

The Turkish newspaper claim on their website that the Hammers are firmly in pursuit of the versatile 26-year-old, who is able to play in the centre of the park, as a second striker or on the right wing.

The news comes after the player told the newspaper: “I will definitely leave. My new team will be in the Premier League.”

In his 42 appearances across all competitions last season, which included eight in the Europa League, Ndiaye scored seven goals and contributed three assists, which helped reach the Round of 32 in Europe as well as a 13th placed finish in the Super Lig.

His career in Europe began at Norwegian side FK Bodo/Glimt, originally on loan, where he made 114 appearances, scoring 31 goals and creating 19 assists before joining current side Osmanlispor, where he has made 75 appearances, netting 18 goals and seven assists.

He has also earned eight caps for his country, making his debut in a 2-0 friendly win over Rwanda in May 2016, while he scored his first and only goal so far in a 2-2 friendly draw with Congo in January 2017.

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic already has a number of players who can operate out of a similar role as as Ndiaye, with Michail Antonio, Manuel Lanzini and Sofiane Feghouli all fighting it out for a place in the starting XI.
