Ronald Koeman must add to his strike force at Everton this summer in order to provide back-up to Romelu Lukaku and Watford’s Stefano Okaka should be high on that list.

The Sun claims Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai Shenhua want to sign the powerful forward for a fee of £12million this summer, despite only joining Watford last summer from Anderlecht.

The 27-year-old signed a five-year deal with the Hornets last summer, but was used only intermittently by Italian manager Walter Mazzarri despite impressing when on the field of play.

It is believed Shenhua manager Gus Poyet has identified Okaka as back-up to striker Carlos Tevez, as the former Manchester United and West Ham striker struggles to maintain any kind of fitness in the top tier of Chinese football.

This Is Futbol analyses three reasons why Everton should rival Poyet’s side in order to provide Lukaku with competition at Goodison Park in the final third.
