Steve Bruce would finally solve his problem position at Aston Villa by beating Nottingham Forest to the signature of Anderlecht goalkeeper Liam Bossin.
The Sun’s transfer expert Alan Nixon claimed in his column in Sunday’s paper (page 59) that Mark Warburton’s Forest were looking to sign the Irish goalkeeper, who is yet to make a senior appearance for the Belgian giants.
The Belgian-born Ireland Under-21 international has caught the eye of the former Rangers boss who is now looking to lure him to the City Ground in order to compete for a first-team slot.
It is believed that a deal has been agreed between Forest and Bossin, but it is unclear as to when a move would be completed and that should be incentive enough for Bruce to make an eleventh-hour move.
This Is Futbol believes Bossin possesses the necessary quality to fill the void between the sticks at Villa Park, as Bruce looks to form a squad capable of gaining his fifth career promotion to the Premier League.
