OPINION

Thomas Christiansen must target one of Liverpool’s up-and-coming attacking talents to finally end Leeds’ 13-year wait in the Football League for Premier League promotion.

Garry Monk’s replacement has already made his first signing as Leeds manager in the form of 10-time Poland international Mateusz Klich, but still has plenty of areas of the squad that requires transfer surgery.

Out wide is one of those positions that needs investment, after Alfonso Pedraza and Modou Barrow returned to their parent clubs following loans, while Stuart Dallas and Souleymane Doukara’s performances were a cause for concern.

Despite signing Hadi Sacko on a permanent basis from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, new additions are needed out wide in order to give Christiansen the options needed to gain promotion come May 2018.
