Rangers should seriously consider signing Newcastle United’s youth team goalkeeper Freddie Woodman on a season-long loan during the summer transfer window.
The Daily Record recently reported that the 20-year-old goalkeeper is interested in returning to fellow SPL side Kilmarnock next season on a loan deal.
The youngster became a first-team regular at Kilmarnock following his loan move in January, making a total of 14 appearances in all competitions and keeping a four clean sheets in the process.
Manager Pedro Caixinha will be fully aware of Woodman’s capabilities between the sticks as he kept a clean sheet against Rangers in the 0-0 league draw in May last season.
Woodman played a crucial role in helping the England Under-20 national team lift the World Cup in South Korea this summer.
