O’Halloran, 26, made just six Scottish Premiership starts last season and was already likely to be on Caixinha’s list of players that will be allowed to leave Ibrox this summer.
The former St. Johnstone attacker only moved to the Glasgow side at the start of 2016, but is way down the pecking order behind the likes of Joe Garner, Barrie McKay and Martyn Waghorn.
Now, with the signings of Dalcio and Daniel Candeias, O’Halloran’s first-team opportunities will be as good as extinguished with the signing of Morelos and a move this summer is his only option.
