Pedro Caixinha should delve into the Championship transfer market for a new striker after Rangers sold Joe Garner to Ipswich on Friday.

Rangers revealed on their official website that the 29-year-old has left the club to join Mick McCarthy’s Tractor Boys just one season after joining the 54-time Scottish champions from Preston.

Garner has joined Ipswich on a three-year contract after scoring 10 goals in 34 league and cup appearances for the Glasgow side, coming in for plenty of criticism for his over-zealous displays at Ibrox.

Now, Caixinha must look to add a striker to his side to replace Garner, and could target the Championship once again after signing Garner from second-tier English outfit Preston.
