Rangers are closing in on five more signings as they continue their remarkable summer overhaul, according to the Scottish Daily Mail.

The newspaper claim the Glasgow club are ready to take the number of new players through the Ibrox entrance door up to 10 within a short space of time.

The Scottish Daily Mail report that deals for Colombian forward Alfredo Morelos and Mexican duo Carlos Pena and Eduardo Herrera are all but done and they will join the influx of new arrivals “once work permit and visa issues are resolved”.

It is said that Rangers are also working hard on signing two players from closer to home, Hearts winger Jamie Walker and Norwich central midfielder Graham Dorrans.

The Scottish giants have already tabled two bids for Walker, 23, with the second valued at near to £500,000 but Hearts are holding out for £1million.

It is reported that the wide man has made it clear he will not sign a new deal when his existing contract expires in the summer of 2018, which raises the expectation of further negotiation between the two Premiership clubs later this window.

The Scottish Daily Mail report that Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha is also confident of making Dorrans his ninth summer addition as the club prepare a third bid.

A package totalling £1million for the goalscoring midfielder, a boyhood Gers supporter, was rejected by English Championship outfit Norwich City on Tuesday evening.

Rangers have already made five new signings this summer in Bruno Alves, Ryan Jack, Fabio Cardoso, Dalcio and Daniel Candeias.
