Prospective signings Carlos Pena and Eduardo Herrera have been photographed taking part in training with Rangers ahead of their reported transfers to the club.

The Mexican duo are expected to complete their transfers to Ibrox in the coming days as they have been made to wait for work permits before their moves can be completed, and 27-year-old midfielder Pena was photographed on his way to Scotland on Tuesday.

However, it appears that the red tape has not stopped the pair from getting stuck into training with their new team mates, with an eagle eyed fan snapping shots of the new signings at Rangers’ training centre in Auchenhowie.

Rangers fan @BOMBERBODiE posted the pictures on his personal Twitter account which show Pena and Herrera taking part in light training with a number of other Rangers players.

Central midfielder Pena and 28-year-old striker Herrera are set to join from Mexican sides Club Leon and UNAM respectively.

When their moves are completed, they will be the seventh and eighth signings under boss Pedro Caixinha, who has wasted no time in beginning an overhaul of the playing staff at Ibrox.

He has also brought in Bruno Alves, Ryan Jack, Dalcio, Fabio Cardoso, Daniel Candeias and most recently Columbian striker Alfredo Morelos during his first transfer window in charge of the Gers.
