Dyer, 29, played under Rodgers for two years between 2010 and 2012 during the Celtic manager’s time in charge of Swansea.
However, the pocket-sized speed machine managed just 12 league and cup appearances this season for the Premier League relegation survivors, and could now be offloaded in the summer as Paul Clement looks to improve his side in the upcoming transfer market.
The thought of forming a reunion with Rodgers may tempt Dyer into a move north of the border, with the lure of Champions League football likely to be difficult to resist.
