Newcastle have agreed terms with Slovakian club FC DAC 1904 which sees centre-back Lubomir Satka move back to his home country, as confirmed on Tuesday.

The official Toon website alongside the Twitter account announced that the 21-year-old would be departing the north east giants after agreeing a deal with the Slovakian top-flight side.

Satka was out of contract at the end of June with Newcastle and spent the second half of the last campaign on loan at FC DAC 1904.

He finished the season playing in 11 matches in all competitions and will be keen to see more first team football upon his return in the next campaign.

He has also previously made one first team appearance for Newcastle, which came in an FA Cup clash against Leicester in June 2015, while he also played six times for then League Two side York in the 2015-16 season.

Satka was unlikely to add to his first team appearances with the Magpies given their promotion back to the Premier League and they have previously been linked to bringing in a new centre-back with both Ciaran Clark and Jamaal Lascelles also already ahead of him in the pecking order.
