West Ham are leading the seven-club Premier League chase to sign KAS Eupen winger Henry Onyekuru, according to Sky Sports’ website.

It is claimed in the broadcasters’ transfer blog on Wednesday afternoon (14: 28pm) that the Hammers are favourites to sign the 20-year-old wing wizard ahead of six other top-flight clubs.

It is said the likes of Arsenal and Swansea are some of the clubs in talks to sign the highly-rated player, who plays in Belgium’s top tier.

Nigeria international Onyekuru recently concluded the 2016-17 season by scoring 24 goals in all competitions from the left-wing added with his nine assists.

Sky Sports report that versatile attacker Onyekuru will fly to England next Monday as he prepares talks with the interested parties.

Over the course of the league season, Onyekuru found the back of the net on 12 occasions from his 28 matches, with his team finishing in 13th position.

West Ham endured a disappointing season in the Premier League which saw them flirt with relegation and lose their key player Dimitri Payet during the January transfer window.

The France international moved back to his home country of France and to his former club Marseille after asking to leave his London club.

Nonetheless, Sky Sports also claim that the Hammers are also interested in Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, Crystal Palace’s key man Christian Benteke and Alassane Plea from Ligue One outfit Nice.
