Manchester City are demanding £20m for Joe Hart, according to a report in The Daily Mail.

England’s No 1 will be returning to the Etihad for pre-season training next month after completing his year-long loan with Italian-side Torino, with the Italian side said to be unable to afford him on a permanent deal.

Hart left Man City after Guardiola’s arrival, and despite his replacement Claudio Bravo coming in for criticism, it doesn’t look like he has a future at the Etihad.

Man City are reported in the Guardian to have signed Benfica keeper Ederson for £34.9m, which will spell the end for Hart.

Hart is insistent on first-team football at his next club and would prefer to stay in England, with West Ham one of the clubs said to have looked at him.

Everton and Leicester are also in the picture and last year’s Premier League winners could swoop for City’s keeper should they sell Kasper Schmeichel.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal were also reportedly interested, but this is said to have cooled down.

Hart knows that first-team football is essential if he wants to hold onto his England place ahead of the World Cup in Russia next year.
