Timo Werner showcased to the world just what he is capable of by scoring twice for Germany in the Confederations Cup, and Tottenham must take note.

The RedBull Leipzig forward put Group B opponents Cameroon to the sword by finding the back of the net twice in the second half, as Joachim Low’s side won 3-1 to secure their place in the semi-finals.

Werner headed home Germany’s second after Kerem Demirbay opened the scoring, getting down low to head home a bouncing ball before scoring a well-taken effort on the turn from 10 yards out to round off the win.

The former Stuttgart attacker spearheaded the Germany attack after shining for Leipzig last season, reportedly catching the eye of plenty of clubs all around Europe as he is still just 21 years of age.

This Is FutbolĀ believes Mauricio Pochettino would finally add the missing link to his Spurs side in pursuit of Premier League glory by offloading Vincent Janssen and bringing Werner to Wembley as his replacement.
