Tottenham will announce they have sealed a club-record kit deal with US sportswear giants Nike at the start of July, according to Football London.

The Trinity Mirror sports site claim that plans are in place for the kit agreement with Nike to be announced before Spurs record to pre-season training on 3 July.

Football London report that the current five-year deal with Under Armour, worth £10million-a-year, expires at the end of this month.

It is then expected that Tottenham will formally unveil the Nike kit which, according to ESPN FC, is worth £150million, three times the old agreement, comfortably a record for the club and on a par with Arsenal’s £30million-a-year contract with Puma.

Both kit agreements pale in comparison with those of Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Premier League leaders have a 15-year contract with Nike that is worth £60million annually, which is still some way short of United’s world record deal worth £75million-a-year with Adidas.

Tottenham’s expected new partnership with Nike will increase speculation that the company could have a say in a naming-rights deal for the club’s new stadium.

Spurs are set to move into their new ground, which will be adjacent to White Hart Lane, at the start of the 2018-19 season.

Chairman Daniel Levy has said the club are in talks with potential naming rights partners but have not yet been able to finalise the right deal.

Tottenham’s new kit agreement will help pay towards the costs of the new stadium and free up some cash as the club prepare to spend next season at their temporary home of Wembley.
