Thomas Lemar delivered an impressive display for 10-man France in their 3-2 win against England on Tuesday night – and Tottenham fans on Twitter urged their club to sign him up.

Monaco winger Lemar played the full 90 minutes for his country as they made light of being a man down for half of the game to secure a memorable triumph in the friendly in Paris.

Harry Kane put England ahead but goals from Samuel Umtiti and Djibril Sidibe gave the home side an advantage at the break.

Raphael Varane was sent off at the start of the second half and Kane equalised for the visitors from the penalty spot but Ousmane Dembele secured the win with 12 minutes remaining of a thrilling encounter.

Tottenham fans kept a close eye on Lemar, 21, who was handed his third international cap as a reward for his outstanding campaign for Monaco.

Spurs have been linked with signing the left-sided ace this summer and their followers were keen to see how he performed against England.

This Is Futbol has rounded up some of the best tweets:

The French newspaper L’Equipe claimed last week that Spurs have joined European big guns Juventus and Atletico Madrid in preparing offers for left-sided ace Lemar.

It is said that the north London outfit have been in contact with the representatives of the dazzling wide man and made it clear they are keen to use their sizeable summer budget to land a player who has lit up Europe over the last 12 months.

Lemar scored 14 goals and supplied 17 assists in 55 matches in all competitions for Monaco in 2016-17, with two goals coming against Spurs in the Champions League group stages.
