Liverpool have been installed as favourites to sign Southampton winger Dusan Tadic, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
The Times claim Liverpool are willing to splash out £13million to sign the 43-time Serbia international, in order to meet the former FC Twente man’s release clause while West Ham are also monitoring his situation.
Ladbrokes have priced the Reds at just 7/4 to bring the 28-year-old attacker to Anfield in the summer, but Merseyside giants Everton are also said to be in the running.
This comes after talks broke down between Liverpool and Southampton over a potential transfer for defender Virgil van Dijk, with Claude Puel’s side unhappy with the Reds’ pursuit of the Holland international.
Ronald Koeman’s side are at 4/1 to sign Tadic, which would see Koeman sign the versatile ace for a second time after bringing him to Southampton when in charge of the Saints back in the summer of 2014.
Man City, Man United, Arsenal and Inter Milan have all been given a price alongside the Merseyside duo, ranging from 6/1 to 10/1.
Tadic was one of Southampton’s most influential attackers in the final third this season, having a hand in 11 goals during his 44 league and cup encounters. Scoring three times, Tadic also laid on eight assists.
Southampton’s number 11 has a contract with his current side until the summer of 2020 but it remains to be seen if he will stay on the south coast until then.
However, it is unclear how he would fit into a side that boasts talent such as Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Adam Lallana.
